Fantastic Jean Dunand Influenced Signed French Art Deco Panthers Painting

A very interesting oil painting on Masonite of two black panthers near an exotic seashore with a lush tree and Starry Night Sky. With the technique of a thick three dimensional oil paint this is a very well done period Art Deco scene.

Painted in the 1920s-1930s in surreal colors the work is reminiscent of Jean Dunand, the French Art Deco lacquer master of Fauna and Foilage.Signed Mignon Paulaine. In its original frame, the frame is missing the inner border 8" in length and 1/4" wide in the lower right corner. In the upper right corner the same is missing.
