Great Art Deco Gilbert Rohde Two Tone Desk with Thick Tubular Chrome Handles
Rare Substantial Art Deco burled walnut with ebonized top and base designed by Gilbert Rohde. Both Sides pull-out to extend for extra writing space with heavy chrome ball handles. Thick tubular handles are made of solid chromed bronze with a centre tubular chrome stretcher. One side has three drawers and the other side has a door cabinet. Each drawer has its own skeleton key lock. glass top is included for Protection of wood finish. The measurements are 55" in length and when extended it is 82" in length, the height is 30 1/2". The side door handle is 7 1/2" in length and 1 1/16" in diameter. The three handles are 6" in length. The chrome stretcher is 24" in length and 1 3/4" diameter. The side ball handles are 1" in diameter. In original Art Deco period condition that needs some touch up refinishing.
